This weeks Artist of the Week is the talented Australian producer, Alex Preston. Preston has quickly made a name for himself and has quite quickly risen as one of the top Artist of Watch to watch in the Australian scene. Producing House, Progressive House and Electro House beats that clearly define his uniquely lively, epic and unstoppable sound. Its no surprise that he’s been getting the support and likes of Paul Oakenfold, Fatboy Slim, Chuckie, Larry Tee and The Stafford Brothers to name a few. We see nothing but great things to come for this rising Australian producer! We are really proud to witness his success and be partnered with him and his label Preston Recordings. Cheers!

Producer, DJ and Label Boss, Alex Preston is the man behind the growing house musicjuggernaut that is Preston Recordings. With support from the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Fatboy Slim, Chuckie, Larry Tee and The Stafford Brothers; several Beatport Top 10 releases; and, numerous mixes climbing the ARIA Club Charts, its easy to see that Alex Preston is on the road to big things. It’s not all Preston Recordings for Alex though, he has also been hand picked by the likes of Larry Teeto remix for Ultra (US) and his label Carnage Music (UK). Alexhas also been scooped up by Australian guru Kid Kenobi and signed to his infamous Klub Kids label with several huge releases planned for 2013. Alex’s recent collaboration with Melbourne based Teddy Cream has also seen him sign to Mobin Master’s label, Safari Music.
Alex’s first release for 2012, “The Calling” EP, which was also the first release from his new label, Preston Recordings, received huge support from the likes of Chuckie, Etienne De Crecy, D.O.N.S, and Filth and Spendour to name a few. It has also been featured by Mixmag as well charting in KissFM top 10 playlist and seen him pick up a string of DJ bookings in the UK and Europe – not to mention the 2 months it spent in the Top 50 Electro House Releases on Beatport.
Alex’s second release for 2012, his “Charge” EP, saw him receive support from the likes Antoine Claraman, and Larry Tee, who requested that Alex remix his upcoming release on Ultra Records as well as remixing Brooklyn based, MDPC. “Charge” reached as high as #9 on the Beatport Progressive House Releases Chart and spent over a month in the Top 20.
