We are going to have more outward facing updates about our platform in a digestible fashion. This is so you know of new features, upcoming ideas and alerts to important notices or known bugs.
The team here is always working hard on providing the best experience a digital distributor can offer and our docket is full of exciting things we can’t wait for you to use.
With that preamble out of the way, let’s get a rundown!
Cancelling Releases, Say It Ain’t So!
This is something we have never really stated but there is a “Cancel Release” function we added in around 1-2 months back. In the SMS in the “View Releases” section you will notice this now once you have submitted a release.
So during this time while it is still under review you can click that “Cancel Submission” button and the release will be pulled out of our review process and sent back to you in an editable state, just like when creating a release. If you notice a mistake on the release or need to swap out some asset, go ahead and cancel the submission, fix it and resubmit it. Now if you see the standard array of tools and features like so;
Then the release has been approved by our team and you will have to reach out to us via our help center to see what we can do.
Takedowns & Updates, Oh My!
This is another feature we haven’t really publicly talked about but many users have been using it with gusto!
We currently have a takedown system in place in the SMS. In order to submit a takedown request, go to “View Releases” and click that “X” in the upper right of a submitted release. You will then fill out a small form asking for the reason. Our team will then process the request or get back to you if we have any follow up questions. If you are trying to cancel an account or do a mass takedown, please reach out to our team directly at the help center to coordinate with us.
Sometimes a release gets processed and something is overlooked or communication was off on your team, we get it, it can happen. So we will also be implementing Update functionality from the user end. You will be able to make the necessary changes of your release then send those changes out to stores to update the release that is already out there. We will let you know more about that when we are ready to launch it.
The Cutoff Has Been…Cut Off
So this is something that has been in place for a bit now but we did not want to direct attention to it until we had some other systems in place.
There is no longer a cutoff time on Wednesday at 5:00 PM EST. We are constantly approving and delivering releases by the day.
So what does this mean to you?
- Well, you no longer have to rush to make that deadline. If you need to wait a day to verify something, we would rather you take your time and make sure your release is 100% good to go rather than rush it out the door.
- You should still give ample time to submit your releases. Submitting releases 2-4 weeks ahead of the release date is still the wise thing to do as that allows time for review (and fixes if needed). Also stores can sometimes get backed up or put things on hold for their personal review, which is hard to account for.
A Link To The Present
The feature we have heard clamoring for the most is this, this right here. Store links!
In the SMS, go to “View Releases”, then click on the release info under the “Submitted Release” column. Here you will see all of the details of the release and now you will notice the “Partner Links” tab.
Estimates, The More You Know
In the Royalties area, you may have noticed the “Estimated Net Royalties” got a little bit of a makeover.
Also, remember the estimates section is showing you the raw data we receive from the stores. This is only to be used as a gauge of how you are doing and not a fact. The quarterly reports show the exact numbers and that is the only true data to go off of.
Back-End To The Future
We had to take care of that housekeeping up front so we can get to the bigger news! We have been developing a whole new backend to our system so we can get our platform where we want it to be.
- Faster connections
- Quicker page loads
- Extended tools and functionality for the user end (YOU)
- Extended tools and functionality for the admins (US)
We will detail that more in the future as we are ready to roll it out. We are excited to give you more and more features that help you work within our system quickly, cleanly, and intelligently.
Expect more updates of us debuting new features and possibly giving a peak into what is to come.
