DJs and EDM music lovers rejoice, Beatport has officially launched an app for iOS and Android users. The service will allow users access over a million songs, plus charts, playlists and other new features that will fill up your calendar.
“The evolution of Beatport involves far more than just streaming music,” SFX President and COO Greg Consiglio said. “We’ve built the definitive home of electronic music in all forms and formats, including festivals and events, streaming, music downloads and news and information available on web and mobile.”
T-Mobile was named by Beatport as its charter partner for the app and the streaming service. Beatport has also announced their beta service, Beatport Live. The service allows fans to watch and record live streams of DJs in HD audio and video. Beatport Pro, which is the company’s core entity, is a desktop music manager and media play for DJs, a music downloadable store with the same name, and Beatport.com, the base site where the service resigns.
