Riot Ten latest single–his first with Plenum Records–features Whiskey Pete, a talented musician in his own right. “Crvkin” is an aggressive track that pulls on Riot Ten’s strengths: heavy percussion mixed in with fast paced electronic melody.
Snare riffs are featured all throughout the track, acting as Riot Ten’s signature, and it works quite well. The drum acts as padding between the synth and sometimes takes its place, which I am quite glad to hear. I’ve always been a fan of electronic musicians experiment with traditional instruments, which includes the snare drum, an instrument that made itself famous by keeping soldiers in lock-step, centuries ago.
Whiskey Pete’s contribution is much harsher and counters the synth quite. I was skeptical of Whiskey Pete at first. I knew he liked darker auto-tuned lyrics; at times such a style can overpower the rest of the song. However, both artists collaborated well, and Whiskey Pete’s addition added some much needed grit to”Crvkin.”
Huge thanks for supporting our release, You guys rock!
