Parisian producer Arkasia just dropped his first album since Etheriality in May 2015. Titled Aftermath, the three-song EP showcases his affinity toward dubstep by way of impeccable producing.
Aftermath shows Arkasia’s depth, strong emotion and an approach to producing that’s anything but ordinary. The title track reminds us who we’re listening to; it’s undeniably a heavy Arkasia sound. Darker vocals paired with dubstep and piano notes make for an enticing first track. Following “Aftermath” is “Shatter Point.” The track is definitely engineered towards live shows with a heavier bassline and glitchier beat. Lastly comes “Infinity,” which perfectly rounds out the EP at only 93 BPM by showing a more emotional side to Arkasia.
The EP may only be three songs in its entirety, but it packs a powerful punch.
The Aftermath EP by Arkasia is out now on Heavy Artillery Recordings.
