Australian based Guvera is shutting down operations in their home land. In a letter sent to us today the Head Of Content goes on to state:
Having been born and launched into Australia in 2008, it is with a heavy heart that a few weeks ago we decided to withdraw the Guvera streaming service here. The Board’s decision to withdraw from Australia has been an extremely difficuilt one and it was arrived at after great consideration.
We remain firm supporters of the Independant music scene and our primary concern is to manage this transition for the clients we have been proud to serve and work with. We sincerely thank you for the time and support you’ve shown us over the year and, through our unique brand-funded model, we remain committed to providing free access to music and entertainment to people in India, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Guvera couldn’t have got to where we are today without all of you, so we thank you sincerely for the time and support you’ve shown us over the years.
We will be in contact with you soon, and look forward to the continuance working with you and your artists in our emerging markets.
The service, as per the letter mentioned will continue to operate in other territories.
