TAMPA, FL (August 31, 2018) — Symphonic Distribution, the global electronic, latin, and black music distribution and label services company, today announces it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with U.S. electronic dance pop label, Tipsy Records.
Off the back of the influential and taste making YouTube and SoundCloud profile, The Tipsy Tortoise, Darren Simko has proved his A&R ears are some of the electronic dance music business’ most golden. In a mere two years, Simko has turned his Tipsy Records label into a successful hotbed of emerging international electronic dance pop talent, discovering the likes of Flyboy, Giiants, bvd kult, Dyrisk and MKJ. As the first major signing in Symphonic’s repositioning, Symphonic clearly sees Tipsy’s forward vision and are excited about what this label has in store for the future. Simply said, Symphonic is pleased to partner with Darren and his team on the next steps towards further establishing Tipsy as a respected brand in today’s electronic dance music marketplace.
“The entire Tipsy team and I are all so thrilled about our new distribution partnership with Symphonic. Jorge Brea, Peter Wohelski and the rest of the company really understand the unique challenges small independent labels face as Tipsy enters its next phase. We look forward to accessing the entire reach of Symphonic’s network and resources in taking the next steps necessary towards expanding the Tipsy brand and developing our artist roster on a global level.” – Darren Simko, Tipsy Records
Tipsy’s first new release as part of this exclusive worldwide distribution partnership is an all-new Dualities remix of “Brand New”, from Munich-based producer Blinded Hearts. Forthcoming release highlights dotting the remainder of 2018 include singles from core label artists Dyrisk, Nik Ernst, and label debuts from Canadian production duo Paris & Simo and Dutch DJ Marc Benjamin.
