Jonathan Carmel Joins Symphonic as Web3 & NFT Lead
About Jonathan Carmel
Jonathan Carmel is our first executive hire focused solely on building Web3 solutions for our ever-expanding client base. As the former Tour Manager & Artist Manager for artists such as Charlie Puth, Kali Uchis, Jack & Jack and Ben Platt, Jonathan has been deeply immersed in Web3 developments around Social Tokens, NFTs, and DeFi over the last 2 years and brings bountiful knowledge and experience to the quickly developing space.
Jonathan reports into Chief Partnership Officer Nick Gordon, a longtime music tech and distribution veteran who has ushered artist and label clients through cataclysmic change in the music distribution space. Together with key senior executives, Carmel and Symphonic are building partnerships to cultivate a best-in-class Web3 toolkit and offering for its client roster.
“I’m delighted to join such a forward-thinking music distribution company in Symphonic,” says Jonathan Carmel. “Their unblinking excitement for disruptive new models in addition to their mastery of the current industry landscape makes them the ideal company with which to build.” says Carmel.
“Symphonic sees vast, additive sales and marketing tools within NFTs and the Web3 ecosystem,” explains Nick Gordon, Chief Partnership Officer at Symphonic. He continues, “We’re committed to serving as a lighthouse as well as the research and development arm of our client base for this fast evolving new generation of fans, marketplaces, and product suites.”
We’re excited to get to work with him and add his impressive set of skills to our team.
